Summary of Role
The Business Development Specialist plays a vital role in the growth and success of Soulful Recovery by expanding our organization’s network, generating new business opportunities, and building relationships with referral sources. They are responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to increase client admissions, collaborating with marketing and outreach teams, and promoting the organization’s services to relevant target audiences. The Business Development Specialist reports directly to the Business Development Manager or Executive Director and contributes to the overall growth and sustainability of Soulful Recovery.

Ideal Fit
Soulful Recovery’s ideal fit for this role can be defined by one word, grit. This person will be naturally gregarious, compassionate and capable of building strong relationships. As an employee operating from a remote location, you have a tremendous amount of opportunity and freedom to set your bar as high as you can reach. With limited in person oversight, our ideal candidate is someone who thrives without micromanagement. You must be self motivated and disciplined to succeed, not in an effort to meet someone else’s expectations, but the expectations you set for yourself. This person must also be creative in how they approach identifying a key market segment and pursuing new opportunities. Lastly, our Business Development Specialist must be comfortable and confident with technology such as Hubspot to help monitor our CRM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Business Development Strategy:
– Assist in developing and executing the Soulful Recovery’s business development plan to achieve growth targets and increase client admissions.
– Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscape.
– Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to identify target markets and develop targeted marketing campaigns.
– Stay informed about industry developments, treatment advancements, and changes in regulations or reimbursement policies.
- Referral Source Management:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources such as healthcare professionals, therapists, interventionists, and community organizations.
– Attend conferences, networking events, and professional meetings to expand referral networks and promote the facility’s services.
– Conduct outreach activities to educate referral sources about the facility’s treatment programs, specialties, and unique offerings.
– Track and analyze referral source data, referral patterns, and conversion rates to optimize business development strategies.
- Partnership Generation:
– Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation activities, including cold calling, email marketing, and relationship-building efforts.
– Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure a seamless transition from lead to admission, providing necessary information and support during the intake process.
- Collaborative Relationship Building:
– Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, presentations, and collateral to support business development efforts.
– Represent Soulful Recovery at industry conferences and other events to showcase services and build brand awareness.
– Participate in relevant professional associations and organizations to stay connected with industry trends and best practices.
- Reporting and Analysis:
– Monitor and track relationship building activities and outcomes using CRM software or other tools.
– Prepare regular reports and analysis on business development efforts, referral source performance, and ROI of marketing initiatives.
– Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve business development strategies and achieve growth targets.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field. – Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with experience in addiction treatment.
– Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and the behavioral health landscape.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
– Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPI targets. – Self-motivated and proactive in identifying new business opportunities and generating leads. – Familiarity with Hubspot software and other business development tools for lead management and reporting.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market trends, track ROI, and make data-driven decisions.
– Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance considerations related to addiction treatment.
– Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

– Salary range = $55,000-$75,000

PRIMARY THERAPIST
Position Summary:
The Primary Therapist plays a pivotal role at Soulful Recovery, serving as the main point of contact for each client. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, the Primary Therapist conducts individual and group therapy sessions, with a focus on fostering long-term behavioral change, compassion, empathy, and building a therapeutic alliance. They also contribute to aftercare planning and attend regular supervision sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Conduct weekly individual counseling sessions with assigned participants to address their progress in treatment.
– Facilitate assigned therapy groups.
– Participate in clinical reviews of participants with the clinical coordinator and other staff members on a weekly basis.
– Develop comprehensive and varied material/curriculum for the assigned topic group.
– Demonstrate the ability to motivate participants during their early recovery journey.
– Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement aftercare plans for participants.
– Occasionally provide crisis management as needed.
– Occasionally deliver in-house training to clinical staff.
– Regularly attend external training and engage in professional development opportunities.
– Attend conferences periodically to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
– Hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology.
– Licensed as an LPC, LAC, CAS or LCSW
– Have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a registered psychotherapist.
– Previous experience working with individuals dealing with substance abuse issues.
